P, CVP or YDP Yamaha Piano?

by Nick
(Ft Lauderale, Florida)

I learnt to play the piano (up to grade 3) on a Yamaha CLP-110 which I picked up for around £250 in the UK.

I have sinced moved to S Florida and am wanting to pick up where I left off, again with a digital piano (quieter with neighbours around).

One problem I had with the CLP-110 was that I couldn't half-pedal.
My piano teacher has recommended the CLP-320, and a dealer teh P-155 or YDP-160.

I have also noticed the YDP-140 and a few other CLPs online CLP 240 / 560 / 650 .

I'm pretty confused now and looking for some independant advice on which one would be good for learning the piano - close to a real piano with the feel and nuances.

Is it true that the YDP is a lesser quality than the CLP which seem to be only sold by official dealers?

Does anyone know of where to pick up second hand digital pianos in S Florida. Or indeed if anyone has a decent one to sell...

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Nick
