Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World Cover

So this morning, on the spur of the moment, I was about to go live on Facebook to do this very song, What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. Unfortunately, I kept getting a message that my connection was too slow to go live. Since I do not like wasting time, I decided why not hit record nonetheless and upload to Youtube instead. And this is exactly what I did.

Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World Cover

So here is What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong done by yours truly, Mantius Cazaubon without any planning whatsoever, in my own style. It’s not perfect but I hope you enjoy it. In the past, I wouldn’t post videos like this because I wanted everything to be perfect. But I have since given up on this need to be perfect. It kills productivity and cripples you. Music is a vibe and I just want to let this vibe flow out of me without unnecessary judgment. As musicians, we can be too hard on ourselves because we know that it can always be better.

This song was written by Bob Thiele (as “George Douglas”) and George David Weiss. What A Wonderful World was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967 as a single, which topped the pop charts in the UK.

Anyway, thanks for watching and listening to my Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World cover. Have a wonderful one!

“I see trees of green,
red roses too.
I see them bloom,
for me and you.
And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world.”

George Michael Careless Whisper Piano Cover

This post features yours truly playing the song, Careless Whisper by George Michael. This song has always been a favorite of mine. Incidentally, I had done a Careless Whisper piano cover on December 22 and posted it on YouTube. The response to this cover was very good. Little did I know that only three days after, George Michael would have died at only 53 years of age.

On Christmas night, I played piano at the hotel as usual and ended with the song, Careless Whisper. Actually, this wasn’t even supposed to be my final song. It ended being my last song because of a mix-up in the time. The band had to come on and I ended 15 minutes earlier than usual.

George Michael Careless Whisper Piano Cover – Instrumental by Mantius Cazaubon

When I arrived home that night and went on Facebook, I got the shocking news of George Michael’s death. I just found it so amazing that it was so much about George the past few days, with the YouTube video and Careless Whisper being my final song, and now he is dead. I guess there are some things we just don’t understand, but they definitely make you think.

I decided to replace the previous George Michael Careless Whisper piano cover with the one embedded here. In other words, I played the song over. I wanted to give it a fresh treatment. In the previous one, I was showing my hands only, but in this one, I show my face. I think I need to do more of these type of piano covers where I show my face so that I can connect better with my audience/viewers.

Anyway this is yours truly playing Careless Whisper by the late (sad to say) George Michael. May he rest in peace. Thank you for all the great songs including Faith, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, Last Christmas, and of course, Careless Whisper (featured here). You made a tremendous contribution to the world and your music will live on forever.

I hope you love it. Thank you for watching/listening.

“I’m never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it’s easy to pretend
I know you’re not a fool
I should’ve known better than to cheat a friend
And waste a chance that I’ve been given
So I’m never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you”

DJ Snake ft. Justin Bieber Let Me Love You Piano Cover

Here’s my DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber Let Me Love You piano cover and instrumental. Actually, I made two versions of the song. In the first video, I am playing the song at the original tempo of 100 bpms. In the second video, I decided to take things down a notch and slow down the tempo. I think this slower version gives the song a bit of a different vibe.

Listen to both versions of DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s Let Me Love you and you can let me know what you think. There are many ways to play this song on piano and I’m sure there are so many covers all over YouTube and the Internet at large. Thanks for allowing me to humbly share mine with you.

I am playing this song on a 61-key Yamaha MM6 keyboard. The chords I’m playing are  C minor, E flat major, G minor, A flat major, G major, B flat major and F minor. The main pattern of chords is Cm E♭ Gm A♭ Gm A♭. For the pre-chorus, the chords are A♭ Cm B♭ Fm. For the fast version, I’m playing the root note of each chord, an interval of a fifth from the root note, as well as an octave, with the left hand. I do this for most of the song with slight variations. With the right hand, I’m playing the melody of the song as well as a few harmonies at times.

Here’s video 1. (The regular tempo.) I hope you like it.

For the second video, as I said, I am playing it slowly. This allows me to do so much more with the chords and harmony. I was able to put a lot of feeling into it. At least, that’s what I think. Lol. It meant that I only played the introduction, one verse and chorus so as to keep it short and sweet. The lyrics are included. Hope you enjoy it.

Video 2. (Slower ballad tempo.)

I created a piano tutorial of this song for absolute beginners. It’s much simpler that the above.

Thanks for watching my videos and joining me on my musical journey. I really appreciate the fact that you took your time to do so. My name is Mantius Cazaubon. All the best.

Justin Bieber Sorry Piano Cover and Instrumental

Okay. Here’s my Justin Bieber Sorry piano cover and instrumental. I hope you like it. I am playing this song on a Yamaha MM6 61-key keyboard and recording it with Cubase recording software. I am using the live piano HALion voice/tone that Cubase comes with.

With my left hand, I am playing octaves of the root note of the chords as well as the fifth. I am playing two patterns. The first or main one is A♭-E♭-A♭, C-G-C, B♭-F-B♭. The other sequence is  F-C-F, A♭-E♭-A♭, B♭-F-B♭.  The chords for the song are A flat major, C minor, B flat major and F minor. The main pattern of chords is A flat major – C minor – B flat major. The other pattern is F minor – A flat major – B flat major.

Justin Bieber – Sorry – Piano Cover and Instrumental

With the right hand, I am playing the melody of the song and adding harmonies at times to make it sound a bit fuller. I am taking these harmonies from the chords of the song. At times, when there’s a pause in the melody (the part the singer sings), I play the chords of the song.

I made an easy tutorial of this song for beginners. Learn how to play the melody of this song as well as an easy left hand part or chords.

The song, Sorry is recorded by Canadian singer Justin Bieber for his fourth studio album, Purpose (2015). It was written by Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, Sonny Moore, Michael Tucker and Justin Bieber. Sorry was produced by Skrillex and Blood.

Hope you enjoyed my video, Justin Bieber Sorry Piano Cover & Instrumental. I love the feedback it has gotten so far and it inspires me to do more piano covers. I hope you like it too. 🙂 My name is Mantius Cazaubon. All the best.

Update:

I made a new video of me playing the song slowly. I wanted to change the mood a bit. Hope you like it.

“Is it too late now to say sorry?
Cause I’m missing more than just your body
Is it too late now to say sorry?
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say that I’m sorry now?”
